Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights releases we're eagerly awaiting.

From bestselling author Marianne Curley comes the highly anticipated return to the Guardians of Time Series…

The battle is over. The war is won. The prophecy complete.

But life can’t just pick up where it left off for Ethan. Struggling to cope with the death of his soul-mate, at odds with his friends in the Guard, he finds himself adrift, jumping at shadows and sensing someone who can’t possibly be there.

Blaming herself for Lathenia’s death, Jesilla swears to avenge her mother and fulfil her vision for world domination. But she hadn’t planned to fall in love. And that leaves her with an unbearable choice – should she follow her heart or the parental strings of a Goddess, short on praise but high on expectation, who continues to pull on her from the grave?

As the Guard and the Order battle through the past and into an impossible future, darkness lurks around every corner. The fight for the world’s survival will rest with just one.

Is it friend or foe that stands in The Shadow?

I am so FREAKIN EXCITED for this book!! I read this series eons ago and never thought there would be more to come! This definitely calls for a series re-read in my near future! Sadly not in time for the release, but I will get to it as soon as I possibly can!

A tiger left behind.

A goddess in need of an ally.

Stranded in a time and place he never wished for, Kishan Rajaram must carry out his destiny of assisting the beautiful yet extremely irritable goddess Durga. This daunting task is not made easy by the fact that he must also face the truth about the girl he loves and the brother who stole her away.

When the wily shaman Phet appears and tells Kishan that Kelsey needs him, he jumps at the chance to see her again. In his efforts to save her, Kishan discovers that the curse he thought was over is just beginning. As time unravels around him, Kishan realizes that the fates of all those he holds dear lie in hands.

The goddess’s power hangs in the balance. Kishan has no choice but to sacrifice the unthinkable to fight the dark forces swirling around the woman he’s charged to protect. As he does, he discovers that love and loyalty create their own magic and accepts that he must decide his destiny once and for all.

Tiger’s Dream is the conclusion to the epic Tiger’s Curse fantasy romance series that left you breathless.

Another book I never dreamed would come! I remember Colleen talking about it some years ago, but as time went on, I began to lose hope (as I have with another series and author). But Colleen came through! I am soooo excited for Kishan's book!

  1. I think I read Marianne Curley’s first book years ago, but blowed if I remember what it was called. I think it was historical fantasy of some sort. Looks like she had done quite a lot since then. She is an Aussie like me! :)

  8. Collen Houck's books have always intrigued me, but I haven't had the chance to pick them up. Maybe some day... I hope you enjoy it though. And I completely understand series being unfinished (and I have a feeling you're talking about a certain Showalter book *wink*). I'm still hoping Strange Fate by L.J. Smith will come out some day soon.
